You might say Albert is hard-wired to be an electrician, catching the bug for the profession from his father, from whom he first learned the trade basics. He eventually attended Eastwick College and completed the nine-month electrician apprentice program there, which prepared him to perform all types of residential, commercial and industrial electrical work.
“I always wanted to be an electrician, ever since I was a kid,” said Albert. “I looked up to dad, it’s what I wanted to do. I like the work because it requires you to use your brain a lot. Plus, people will always need an electrician.”
At Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric, we keep him busy with all types of electrical services for our clients, such as wiring and connecting our customers’ electrical panels, interior and exterior lighting, ceiling fans, security systems, and more.
Owner Jack Lamb said, “Customers love Albert’s work ethic, respect for their house, his honesty, and true professionalism. He is always learning and growing with the industry. It is a pleasure to have him on our team.”
Albert has done two rounds as one of our employees, first as an apprentice electrician many years ago and then training on the job as an HVAC installer, a role he held for two years. Personal circumstances meant taking time away for a while (and going to school); Albert returned to our team in March 2023 as a wireman electrician.
“I came back to finish what I had started,” he said. “I’d had a good experience the first time with the team and Mike DeJoseph (company founder and former owner). It’s a good work environment.”
When asked about his favorite part of the job, he says that he always wants to keep learning something new, which happens all the time with his electrical work.
“We get calls of all kinds. I like to get to the job site and diagnose the problems. I haven’t gotten stumped yet but if I ever am, I know I can call on Jack (Lamb) for input.”
