Spotlight on … Samantha Sadkin
Installation coordinator & bookkeeper

Samantha “Sam” Sadkin joined the team at Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric in July of this year and quickly made a positive impression with everyone. She is putting her previous experience in office administration and account management to good use here. When asked about making the move to Bloomfield Cooling, she noted how different the atmosphere is at our office compared to at her prior job.

“When I came in for the interview, it really stood out from other places I’d been looking,” said Sam. “I like that it’s a small company where you get to really know everyone.”

She started out only handling dispatching but as our general manager, Jack Lamb explains, “Sam is really on top of her work. She was soon coordinating all installs and scheduling the salesmen. She did such a great job with those, I offered her a bookkeeping position, signed her up for QuickBooks courses, and she is really excelling.”

This is the first time Sam has done company bookkeeping and she said she is learning a lot in that area as she maintains our financial records, ensures billing is accurate, and keeps track of accounts payable and receivable. In her role as installation coordinator, she makes sure the technicians have everything they need for each project in one comprehensive folder.

“I schedule all the installations and put together a packet with all the information the installers need; that includes what equipment and tools to bring on the job, as well as the permits, forms to be signed, and the invoice,” she said. Her responsibilities include applying for all relevant permits in each municipality in which we work.

“The permit applications can be tricky because each town is different, but this is all a great opportunity to learn and do something different than in my previous jobs.”

When she isn’t keeping the books or scheduling installs, Sam loves to read (her favorite genres are fantasy and supernatural) and spend time with her family and her fiancé (they are getting married next August). We are delighted Sam has joined our team—EVERYONE benefits from her contributions!
