Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric is Celebrating 35 Years!

This month, Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric Inc., established in 1989, celebrates 35 years in business, delivering superior service and installing high-quality HVAC equipment to our customers in northern New Jersey. We are proud of our longevity in the North Jersey market, the recognition we’ve received, and the milestones we’ve achieved through the years. Our company timeline includes:

• 1989: Michael DeJoseph and his cousin, Pat Fata, start the heating and cooling business in Bloomfield.
• 1991: Bloomfield Cooling & Heating is incorporated and moves to Nutley.
• 1993: Electrical services are added to provide more efficient service to our customers and the company becomes Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric, Inc.
• 2005: We needed more space due to company growth and moved to Little Falls. Our location houses our central office, large warehouse, conference room, sheet metal shop, and parking for our fleet of vans.
• 2006: Installation and service of home standby generators are added to our services.
• 2013: Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric is recognized with the Angie’s List Super Service Award; we are still listed as a top-rated certified professional business on Angi.
• 2014: We won our first of eight gold medals (out of nine total wins which include the silver in 2021) in the Best of Essex Readers’ Choice Awards for the “Best Heating/Cooling” category (2014-2019, 2022, 2023). Our team has also won multiple “Best Electricians” awards.
• 2020: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we quickly expanded our product offerings with several different types of in-duct air purifiers and whole-home air purifiers to help keep our customers safe and comfortable.
• 2022, 2023, 2024: We received Carrier’s prestigious President Award, given to Carrier Factory Authorized Dealers—for excellence in customer service, integrity, and performance.
