Meet Daniel Acosta
Service Manager

Daniel Acosta - Service Manager at Bloomfield Heating, Cooling and ElectricMany of our customers have had the pleasure of speaking to Danny Acosta, our service manager, over the years. His short story goes like this: he started at Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric in 2004 as an HVAC installer for seven years, moving into the service department as a technician in around 2011. In that role, he went out on service calls to troubleshoot issues with HVAC units and handled maintenance on central air and heating systems. In 2016, he became our service manager.

Danny’s longer story begins with his career as a machinist for a pipe fitting company (with skills he used as an installer, no question!). He eventually enrolled at Lincoln Tech in the HVAC program and our owner and president, Michael DeJoseph, hired Danny immediately after he graduated. He started as an assistant on installation jobs and worked his way up to service manager.

“Our general manager, Jack Lamb brought me in as a service coordinator at first to review the service tickets, put together the materials needed for each service call, and schedule the technicians,” said Danny. “That experience led to me becoming the official service manager in 2016, which freed up Jack to oversee the general operation.”

As our service manager, Danny makes sure our inventory of equipment and parts as well as special-order components are stocked to meet our customers’ needs efficiently. He handles scheduling and dispatch of our service team, picks up after-hours calls, and—given his long-term experience as an installer and service technician—assists on service calls when needed. He also follows up with each customer after a service call has been made to ensure the job has been completed satisfactorily.

Service Manager at Bloomfield Cooling, Heating and ElectricHe noted that the company is always looking for seasoned HVAC service technicians and encourages people with experience and the right qualifications to speak to him. “It’s a great work atmosphere and a place where you are always treated fairly. Everyone is treated with respect and honesty here. That goes for how we treat our customers as well.”

Danny’s career path also points to the opportunities for professional growth at Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric, which he greatly appreciates as well. He credits his on-the-job training with us for his career growth.

“Lincoln Tech gave me a great foundation of knowledge about the HVAC industry, but the majority of what I know today and share with our team, I learned here,” he said. “Doing installations gives you that frontline experience that helps you see how the system all works together. Mike always told me that if you install it, you can service it. He was right!”

All of us at Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric are grateful to Mike DeJoseph for recognizing Danny’s potential all those years ago!
